Well, it's nothing personal against them, per se... it's just that SO MUCH free software is primarily hosted there. Have I ever mentioned that I don't like centralization? =)

Well, my attitude is that since it's GIT I always have the full repo on my own hardware. If they go bye bye, GIT is already a decentralized collaborative system. It can outlive Github or Gitlab or any of those.

Yes, but still, it's still the "go-to place" for everything. I'm not talking about what happens when they explode, which is also a problem =)
