And now we reap the harvest of sorrow that is the end of Daylight Savings Time. The cats eat at 5pm. It looks like 5pm outside. But it's now only 4pm. AND THE CATS ARE HUNGRY. AND THE CATS ARE ANGRY. Cat: "DINNER." Me: "No." Cat: "D*I*N*N*E*R." Me: "No". Cat: "N*O*W."

Never thought of that part of the DST switches 😅

mother-in-law used to feed birds on her garden late in the afternoon.  birds would gather there at the usual time every day, but shortly after the time change, the birds would show up too early, and even cats in the neighborhood would stand by for distracted birds

and over here it started a week ago (its springtime in this part of the world)

dst is a really stupid and outdated idea, fiddling with clocks and causing all sorts of confusion just because people refuse to work out ways to have more flexible work hours

(as in they refuse to look at the real problems .. as if any such fiddling with clocks can really solve all of them for everyone, which of course it won't)
